I first encountered Puffins at Sea World, and was captivated by the antics of these North Pole couriers to Antarctica’s penguins. Sometimes called the “Clowns of the North,” these birds are pure whimsy, from their colorful “sail” eyes, to their richly-colored grooved beaks, to their comical persistent playfulness.
