The Grateful Heart Eileen L. Vos Emerging Artists Program recognizes and celebrates life-long learning and exploration of the arts. Selected artists will be honored with a recognition certificate, featured show, and reception at Grateful Heart Gallery, at 654 Main Street, Lafayette, IN. Their work will remain on display and available for purchase for 60 days following their reception.
Eileen L. Vos was a true life-long learner, who embodied a sense of adventure and delight in seeking out knowledge and skills. A wife, mother and professional dressmaker, she selected something new to learn about each year, and shared that journey with her children (including Grateful Heart artist Diane Gee). From cement mixing to plaster figurines, leather tooling to ceramics, Eileen Vos demonstrated a fearless curiousity and willingness to explore life.
Our emerging artist program is a tribute to Eileen L. Vos, and to all those who continue to challenge themselves to learn, to grow and to explore new possibilities throughout their lives.
